Nandi Betta

Last month I had been to Nandi betta which is about 50kms drive from my home. I frequently visit this place just because I love the nature surrounding this place.
Beauty of Nandi Hills.
We took a short break on the way to hills near a tea stall where we could see planes landing at the Devanahalli Airport at close range .We nearly spent 30min here, during this time we saw nearly 5 planes. Among them were two Jet Airways, one Emirates and two Kingfisher. My son is very much interested in heavy vehicles among them one of his interest is planes, gliders and helicopters. He is just 16 months and he can imitate the sounds of all the three in different styles. After a short break we headed back to Nandi betta.

Near the first parking lot we saw a lot Monkeys, My son's eyes caught the group of monkeys and he wanted to go with those monkeys, a monkey came near to us and sat on a near by tree at arm's length to my son.Once Sameer was satisfied we took our car and went to top of the hills and parked.
Monkeys that kept my son interested

We started birding in the hills, we found a beautiful flower bed and my son started to enjoy the flowers, mud and sticks around. It became a difficult for my husband and myself to do birding with my active son. We somehow managed to take few photos of Puff throated Babbler, Tawny bellied Babbler - not many snaps this time but enjoyed a lot with my son.

Kids forget everything when they get something interesting.

On the way back, my son demanded that his father sit with him and I took this chance to drive 20kms from Nandi betta, I wanted Srik to take me to the Grape farms near by village but we missed it because I was driving and he was enjoying with Sameer . He had found a few mangoes on the hill and he tried eating it. By around 3pm we were back to home.
